Adding adaptogenic herbs into your life can make a massive difference if how you go about your day to day life. They can help support energy, mental focus, improve sleep, and support a better mood. These are all things many of us could benefit from. But, you may wonder how exactly you go about adding these herbs to your diet or supplement routine.  

On top of supplementing with an adaptogenic blend like Yinergy or Vigor, you can also add certain adaptogens to recipes without altering the flavor all that much!

Here are three fast and delicious recipes you can make in under fifteen minutes using adaptogens.

Cinnamon Apple Smoothie

The ideal way to start your morning. Start your day with a hormone-balancing nutrient-dense smoothie that you can take on the go.

Serves: 2

Ingredients:

·     1 cup of unsweetened almond milk

·     1 frozen banana

·     ½ of a sliced and peeled apple

·     ½ tsp. ground cinnamon

·     ½ tsp. reishi powder

·     1 Tbsp. raw honey


Directions:

1.  Simply add all the ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.

2.  Sprinkle with extra cinnamon if desired and enjoy right away.  

 

Golden Milk Latte

A perfect way to wind down your day. This golden milk latte can help promote a better night’s sleep all while fighting off inflammation in the body.

Serves: 1

Ingredients:

·     ½ cup of full-fat coconut milk

·     1 tsp. ground turmeric

·     ¼ tsp. ground cinnamon

·     1/8 tsp. cracked black pepper

·     1 tsp. coconut oil

·     1 tsp. ashwagandha powder

Directions:

1.  Start by adding the coconut milk to the base of a stockpot over low/medium heat.

2.  Add in the remaining ingredients and whisk.

3.  Warm for about 3 minutes and enjoy right away.

 

Oatmeal Breakfast Bowl

Here’s another great breakfast option when you are looking for something a little more sustaining. This recipe is also great for hormone balance and excellent for digestive health.

Serves: 1

Ingredients:

·     ¾ cup rolled oats

·     1 cup of unsweetened almond milk

·     ½ tsp. ground cinnamon

·     ½ tsp. maca powder

·     1 Tbsp. pure maple syrup

Directions:

1.  Start by adding the rolled oats to a stockpot over medium heat. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer stirring continuously.

2.  Cook for 5-7 minutes and remove from heat.

3.  Stir in the cinnamon and maca.

4.  Drizzle with the pure maple syrup and enjoy.
