7 Plant-Based Dairy-Free Options

#1 Coconut Milk: Coconut milk is one of the creamiest non-dairy milk options out there, and it’s full of immune and gut health benefits. Try using coconut milk in smoothies or added to your cup of coffee of tea.

#2 Almond Milk: Likely one of the more popular dairy-free milk options, almond milk has a mild flavor and can easily be used in place of dairy-based milk. Try using almond milk in baking recipes or use it in your smoothie.

#3 Oat Milk: Oat milk is another super creamy non-dairy milk option that tastes delicious with coffee, smoothies or protein shakes.

#4 Cashew Milk: If you’re not big into almond milk, or you are looking for something a little bit different to change things up, try cashew milk. Again, cashew milk also has a mild flavor and goes well with almost anything dairy-based milk would.

#5 Hemp Milk: Here’s a super healthy non-dairy milk option that packs in some healthy omega-3 fatty acids. Hemp milk does come with a bit of a nutty flavor, and not everyone likes to taste. But, if you can get used to it, it can be a great plant-based option for your diet.

#6 Cashew Cheese: If you’re a cheese lover, but looking for a healthier non-dairy option, cashew cheese is the way to go! You can find cashew-based cheese in shredded form, or enjoyed as a block cheese that you can snack on with your favorite gluten-free crackers.

#7 Coconut Milk Yogurt: Coconut milk yogurt makes a great alternative to dairy yogurt and tastes delicious too. Try making a coconut milk yogurt parfait with granola, sliced berries, and a drizzle of raw honey.

Going dairy-free doesn’t mean you have to give up all of your favorite foods. There are so many options available today that makes following a plant-based and dairy-free diet not only easier but healthy as well. Give these healthy swaps a try, you may be surprised at just how delicious they are.
